
Mindfulness for Eco-Distress
Mindfulness and compassion-focused skills-building and mutual support group for those experiencing distress related to awareness of the human impact on the environment and climate.
Each meeting will consist of experiential mindfulness- and compassion-based practices with guided reflection, discussions, didactics, and recommended home practice. Participants will learn new coping skills for developing inner resilience, empowerment, and find support for creating sustainable action towards living a more eco-harmonious life.
When: This 8-week group will meet at a time TBD based on responses to the Group Interest Form.
Where: Either in-person in the Cambridge/Somerville area of Massachusetts, or online via Zoom, with additional optional in-person component(s), as determined by responses to the Group Interest Form.
Cost: Free / By Donation.*Suggested donation if you have the financial means is $360 for 8 weeks ($45 per session).

No previous mindfulness experience required.

Mindful Behavior Change (MBC)
Mindful Behavior Change (MBC) (formally named Mindfulness Training for Living Well) is an 8-week course developed by the Center of Mindfulness and Compassion at Cambridge Health Alliance that offers evidence-based skills for behavior change and learning how to live well in the context of stress, including chronic illness. This course is open to all and no prior mindfulness experience is necessary.
You may wish to take this course if you are looking for support in finding and maintaining healthy and joyful behaviors, living well with chronic illness, managing stress, strengthening your mindfulness practice, making a change that you’ve always wanted to make, and being connected to a supportive and kind community.

Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
MBCT is an evidence-based educational program shown to prevent depressive relapse and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. MBCT combines the practice of mindfulness with practical tools from cognitive therapy.
In MBCT, you will learn skills for responding to the anxiety and emotional challenges. Through the practice of mindfulness you will learn to engage the body, mind and heart to relate differently to challenging thoughts and emotional distress, and to help you to care for yourself and cultivate resilience.
